Keeping you safe

  • Padding & Helmets

We have a reasonable selection of helmets and padding which we offer free of charge. During busy periods however, there may not be enough to go around so please bring your own if you have them.

Please note it isn’t a regulatory requirement for us to provide safety equipment.

  • Rules of the rink

Rink Rules & Conditions Of Use

    • No food or drink to be brought on to the premises (except water, baby food or by prior arrangement).

    • Skate in one direction (anti-clockwise) unless instructed to do otherwise, this is for everyone’s safety to avoid accidents.

    • Only venue organised games and races on the rink unless you are the only people using the rink.

    • For safety reasons please do not sit on, climb through or jump over barriers.

    • Do not stand on the kick-boards with your skates, this damages the boards and the skates.

    • Follow all instructions given by the rink marshals or staff.

    • We have a zero-tolerance policy to drugs, alcohol and verbal abuse. Anyone engaging in these activities will be asked to leave.

    • In the event of a serious incident or injury you will be asked to leave the rink while we manage the situation. Please be patient, we will get you skating again as soon as possible.

    • If we need to evacuate please remove your skates and proceed to the exit in an orderly manner without collecting any belongings. There will not be time to collect shoes.

    • Children must be supervised, parents are responsible for monitoring behaviour of children and adherence to the rules.

    • Skates to be removed before going to the toilets which are downstairs.

    • Please don’t allow small children to go to the toilet on their own, this is due to it being a shared facility.

    • Children 12 years and over can be left to skate but parents must sign them in and leave a contact number.

  • Leaving kids to skate

We want to be accessible and give teenagers the opportunity to skate without the need for parental supervision.

If your child is 12 years or older you can leave them to skate provided you register them in person and leave your contact details. They will be expected to adhere to the rules of the rink and behave responsibly.

Children younger than 12 can not be left with another minor (someone under the age of 18).

If your child is 8 -12 years you can leave them with us provided you are going to be downstairs in Kidz Hub but you must come up and register them.
